Magic Slim and The Teardrops

Magic Slim and The Teardrops was an American blues band formed in Chicago in 1965 by singer and guitarist Magic Slim (born Morris Holt in 1937; died 2013). In 2003, Magic Slim and the Teardrops won the W.C. Handy Award as Blues Band of the Year for the sixth time. Holt has been in a Chicago band called Mr. Pitiful And The Teardrops. When that band broke up, Holt re-formed the Teardrops with his two brothers (of whom one brother, Nick Holt, became a permanent member as the bass player). Read more on Last.fm
