The Slow Club
The first album, This Is The Slow Club, which received downright hymnal praise and was bestowed the Amadeus award, consisted exclusively of cover versions of famous titles from the American Songbook. It would have been easy to pursue this concept further; there would have been plenty of classics to choose from… Affirmed by the positive experiences of many intense live concerts, the desire arose to write solely original songs for the second album.
